Our Story
A workshop on Silom Road
Nathira began with a simple observation: most people do not know quite what to do when a watch they care about needs attention. They feel uncertain about where to take it, unsure whether the person behind the counter is really listening, and sometimes leave wondering if they paid for work they did not need.
We opened our workshop on Silom Road to be a different kind of place. Small on purpose. Unhurried by design. We take on a limited number of watches each week so that each one gets proper time and consideration.
The name Nathira comes from an old word for one who watches over things. It felt right. Our role is not to reinvent a watch, but to care for it — to see what it needs, do that work carefully, and return it to you in better condition than we found it.
Our Mission
To offer thorough, transparent watch care to anyone in Bangkok who values their timepiece — whether it is a daily wearer or something kept for sentimental reasons. We do careful work, explain it clearly, and charge fairly.

The Team
The people behind the bench
Khun Prasert
Lead Watchmaker
Over eighteen years working with Swiss and Japanese movements. Prasert developed a particular focus on vintage dial care after years of seeing dials over-restored elsewhere.
Nattaya Arunrak
Appraisal & Documentation
Nattaya writes all assessment reports and handles client correspondence. She ensures that documentation is clear enough to be used for insurance purposes without additional editing.
Chaiya Somsak
Strap Specialist
Chaiya manages all strap sourcing and fitting. His knowledge of suppliers across Thailand and abroad means he can usually find something appropriate for uncommon lug widths.
Standards
How we hold ourselves
We do not follow a formal certification programme, but we hold ourselves to a clear set of practical standards that govern how every piece is handled.
Handling protocols
Gloves used for finished cases. No bare metal surfaces in the movement area. Each watch stored securely in a labelled tray from intake to collection.
Appropriate tools only
We use watchmaker's tools scaled for the job — no improvised solutions that risk damage. Dial-related work is handled with padded fixtures.
Pre-work documentation
We photograph the watch from multiple angles before any work begins, noting the condition. This record protects both you and us.
Secure storage
Watches left with us overnight or for longer periods are kept in a locked cabinet. We carry appropriate cover for items in our care.
No surprises on cost
If any additional work becomes apparent during a job, we pause and contact you before continuing. The price agreed at the start is the price you pay unless you authorise more.
Original parts preference
Where replacement components are needed, we discuss the options with you and favour original or appropriate period-correct parts where they can be sourced.

Watch care in Bangkok — done with patience
Bangkok has many places that will look at a watch. Nathira is a place where a watch is truly seen. Our workshop draws on years of hands-on experience with mechanical and quartz timepieces, from everyday wearers to pieces with family or collector significance.
We focus on three services because three services done well are more valuable than ten done quickly. Dial refinishing requires patience and an eye for colour. Strap fitting requires knowledge of materials and a feel for proportion. Appraisal and documentation requires clarity of language and thorough observation.
Clients find us through word of mouth, which suits us. Each person who walks through the door deserves time — to ask questions, to understand the options, and to feel comfortable leaving something they care about with us. That is not possible when a workshop is processing watches at volume.
Our location on Silom Road puts us within easy reach of central Bangkok, and we are accessible from both BTS Sala Daeng and Chong Nonsi stations. We are open Monday through Saturday, and appointments can be made by telephone or email.
